The Land's Treehouse transforms into new community event space

The Treehouse at The Land, previously home to Maypop Forest School, is undergoing an exciting transformation.

Starting Dec. 7, the space will re-open its doors as a dynamic event venue designed to bring people together through nature-based experiences and creative gatherings.

Known for its idyllic, rustic charm, The Land’s Treehouse will now host a variety of events each weekend, offering something for everyone. Visitors can look forward to a diverse range of activities, from artisan markets and nature play zones to educational workshops and seasonal camps.

The Treehouse’s new role as a shared event space aims to foster community connection and celebrate the natural beauty of The Land.

What to expect at the Treehouse

Pop Up Markets

Each weekend, the Treehouse will feature pop up markets showcasing local artisans, makers and crafters. These markets will offer visitors the opportunity to explore unique, hand-crafted goods while supporting small businesses. In addition, teachers, healers and other creators will be invited to share their talents, with an application process for vendors to ensure that all brands align with The Land’s vision of supporting sustainable, nature-based enterprises.

Nature Play & Kids Zone

For families, the Treehouse will also host a Nature Play and Kids Zone in partnership with Little Explorers Summer Camp. This interactive area will be a safe and engaging space for children to explore nature through hands-on activities, seasonal camps and adventures. Parents can relax and enjoy the surroundings while their children participate in guided nature-based play.

Workshops & Collective Learning

Educational offerings will be a key feature of the Treehouse, with a wide range of workshops aimed at expanding skills and knowledge related to nature and sustainability. Workshops will cover topics such as flower and herb cultivation, practical foraging, homesteading skills and art and music. These sessions will provide opportunities for hands-on learning and community-building, while also encouraging participants to connect with The Land and each other.

Private Rentals Available in 2025

Looking ahead, The Land is also planning to offer the Treehouse as a private rental space starting in 2025. Whether you're looking to host a wedding, special event or retreat, the Treehouse’s serene environment promises to be the perfect backdrop for unforgettable occasions. More details on private rental availability and pricing will be released soon.
