The Ark Community Resource Center in Pegram has an updated wishlist to help South Cheatham County residents stay afloat in 2024.
According to a Jan. 11 Facebook post, these are the items the nonprofit is asking for:
Breakfast items;
Diced tomatoes;
Spaghetti sauce;
Rice/boxed potatoes; and
Canned carrots.
The Ark reopened after the holidays on Monday, Jan. 8, asking for donations of diced tomatoes, non-green veggies, breakfast items, small size coffee, teas, and hot chocolate. They updated their wishlist four days later, commending the community for being willing to donate.
“We are so thankful for everyone’s support in the community and want to keep the generosity flowing,” The Ark wrote. “Check out this list and bring any of these items by. We sure do appreciate you helping keep the people of Cheatham County afloat.”
The Ark accepts donations during operating hours only every Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The nonprofit holds a food pantry every Monday from noon to 4 p.m.
