Kingston Springs sets Dinner on Main date for 2024

The Town of Kingston Springs announced that its seventh annual Dinner on Main will be held on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024.

Tickets, priced at $150 a pop, will go on sale on Tuesday, July 30 at 7 p.m. Like last year, ticket sales will take place online instead of at the farmer's market.

"As usual, these tickets will go fast so you will need to be ready to purchase when they become available," the town wrote on its Facebook page.

If you’re interested in purchasing tickets, the town recommends you create an account now on the Town of Kingston Springs Parks & Recreation website so you will be ready when ticket sales go live. The town said you should be on the site and ready to go prior to the 7 p.m. launch. Each sale is limited to four tickets.

"These tickets usually sell out quickly – probably in the first few minutes – so please remember the date and time and access the site prior to the sale time of 7 p.m. to make sure you’re ready to purchase," the town emphasized. In 2023, the event sold out in just over 24 hours.

Kingston Springs began the annual farm-to-table event in 2017, serving as a fundraiser for its summer farmer's market.

The dinner, which features locally grown produce, was assembled by local chefs. Last year's line up included Hal Holden-Bache, executive chef and co-owner of Lockeland Table in Nashville, Deb Paquette, Mike Turpin and Amy Davis-Bruce – owner of SKYKING Pizza and Turnbull Provisions.

2023 was the first year the event was hosted in the open lot that hosts the farmer's market and Food Truck Monday.

In the past, Main Street was blocked for the event and diners sat at a long row of tables lined up in the middle of the road in downtown Kingston Springs. This location required more than a dozen people to handle road closures, detours and traffic control for the event. Most of these people were firefighters or police officers. If there were an emergency somewhere else, these first responders would have to leave their Dinner on Main posts, sparking public safety concerns and prompting town officials to move the popular fundraiser.

The meal consists of multiple courses including appetizers, side items, entrees, and dessert – and live music of course!
