The Town of Kingston Springs announced this week that it will hold its annual Art in the Park on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Hosted by the Kingston Springs Parks Department for more than 15 years, Art in the Park is an annual event at Burns Park that showcases local artisans and craftsmen through competitions, vendor booths and live music.
The event is free to attend for both residents and vendors.
Unlike the farmer’s market where vendors must pay $75 for their booths, the city doesn’t benefit financially from Art in the Park. Interested vendors just need to fill out an application by Friday, Sept. 20. The only caveat is that artisans must produce the product they are selling.
Those aged 14 and up can enter the town’s annual art competition. First, second and third place are awarded in five separate categories: photography, painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media.
Those interested in competing must submit a photo of their entries – up to three – alongside an application by Friday, Sept. 20.
