Food truck Mondays are coming to Kingston Springs.
Starting June 12, the city will host food trucks at the Farmers and Artisans Market lot on Park Street, across the railroad tracks from downtown Kingston Springs.
The event will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. every other Monday through August, and may be extended into September if it’s successful.
Six food trucks have signed up for the first event:
Everly's: treats and drinks;
Outdoor Boys: burgers and sandwiches;
Elliston Place Soda Shop: meat and three;
Haute Wheels: sandwiches;
Jac's Southern Grub: catfish; and
Kona Ice: shaved ice.
Besides food, the event will feature live music.
“It’s the first time we've tried it,” said Parks Director Brandy Miniat, but she’s pleased with the response the city has received so far from food truck vendors.
The Kingston Springs dinnertime event will complement Ashland City’s lunchtime food truck event, which is held every Monday, through Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Riverbluff Park.
