There are a handful of ways for Senior citizens in South Cheatham County to get involved with the community.
Lunch and bingo hosted by The Ark
Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Ark Community and Resource Center hosts lunch and bingo for Senior citizens in the South Cheatham community at Pegram United Methodist Church.
Mike Turpin, the director of The Ark, said all of the food is provided by Nashville Food Project.
Lunch hosted by Kingston Springs Parks and Recreation
The town of Kingston Springs hosts lunch for the community's Senior citizens every third Thursday each month at 11 a.m. at Burns Park.
Brandy Miniat, the director of the Parks Department explained that the Seniors rotate each month between pot lucking at Burns Park and going out to eat in the community. For the month of October, the group of Seniors will be having a pot luck at the park.
Bingo hosted by Kingston Springs Parks and Recreation
The town of Kingston Springs also hosts bingo for the community's Senior citizens every first and third Monday each month at 10 a.m. at Burns Park.
South Cheatham Public Library Coffee and Chat
All ages are welcome to join the South Cheatham Public Library in downtown Kingston Springs every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. for a coffee and chat and daytime knit-us-together.
