A thank you, from The Ark

Written by The Ark Director Mike Turpin

On behalf of The Ark, Noah's Closet and our Board of Directors, we want to say thank you to the people of Pegram and Kingston Springs for your loving generosity that keeps us going.

I've always heard the phrase "It takes a village.'' Well in our case, I say it takes a community and there is not one better than ours.

Whether it be food donations, clothing donations or money, The Ark can always count on you to provide.

Here is what your generosity has provided:

  • The meals on wheels program serves five hot/cold meals a week to 34 seniors in South Cheatham County. That's over 7,000 meals to our neighbors that need it.

  • The food pantry regularly provides weekly food boxes to over 100 families twice monthly.

  • 90 families received both Thanksgiving and Christmas food boxes.

  • 107 families received utility assistance.

  • 345 kids received back to school supplies. 61 kids received back to school clothes.

  • 18 students picked out dresses for their school prom.

And, that doesn't cover all the hot water heaters, air conditioners or heaters that have been provided in emergency situations, all because of your love and support for this community.

So, Merry Christmas Pegram and Kingston Springs and thanks for helping our families "Stay Afloat."

Thank you,

The Ark and Noah's Closet
